Setup SMARTplayer #

Setup of several SMARTstreamers #
This video shows you step by step how to set up an additional music source or a second SMARTstreamer via the WebApp. You can add as many devices as you like using this principle. Make sure that your PC, smartphone or tablet is in the same network as the NewTec SMART devices. In your browser, enter http://smartstreamer.local in your browser to open the WebApp. The user name and password can be found on the product label of the SMARTstreamers or SMARTplayers.
Set up Webstream #
You can set up any number of digital music sources in both the SMARTplayer and the SMARTstreamer. Search for the URL of the desired stream on the Internet or obtain it directly from your music content provider (if offered). If the URL is protected by ‘USER’ and ‘PASSWORD’, enter the data in the following format: http://Username:Password@Url.
The SMARTplayer and SMARTstreamer support unencrypted standard HTTP streams in mp3 format. You can find a large selection of radio stations at: http://fmstream.org/.
Audio distribution in the network #
The NewTec SMARTstreamer can be configured as both a transmitter and a receiver via the NewTec WebApp. The SMARTstreamer 1 (transmitter) transmits the music signal to the SMARTstreamer 2 (receiver) via the local network. To access the WebApp, enter the following address in your browser http://smartstreamer.local in your browser. The user name and password can be found on the product label of the SMARTstreamer or SMARTplayer.
