Connect speakers / amplifier #
Connect the desired passive speakers and/or amplifier to the speaker output or the mono line output of the SMARTconnect.
Important note: The maximum output power is 40 W at 4 Ω.
Connect power cable #
Connect the SMARTconnect to a power outlet using the included power adapter. The device will automatically enter pairing mode – the CONNECT LED will blink blue, and the connected speakers will emit a detection tone.
Activate pairing #
Point the remote control at the SMARTplayer and press “CH UP” (up arrow). The CONNECT LED will flash blue, and the SMARTconnect will connect automatically.
End pairing #
Wait until all speakers stop emitting the detection tone and the CONNECT LED on the SMARTconnect lights up solid blue. Then point the remote control at the SMARTplayer and press “CH DOWN” (down arrow). The CONNECT LED on the SMARTplayer will now also light up solid blue.
Important note: The SMARTplayer automatically exits pairing mode after about 2 hours. If installation takes longer, you can reactivate pairing mode using the remote control.
Start music playback #
Start playing your music. The AUDIO LED will light up orange, and the audio signal will be sent to all connected speakers. You can adjust the volume either from your audio source or with the remote control (VOL +/–).
