Direct access from PC/laptop

For network and IT technicians #

Follow these steps to access the SMARTplayer / SMARTstreamer directly from your PC when no network is available:

  1. Assign a static Class C IP address to your PC or laptop, e.g., 192.168.0.100.
  2. Connect the PC/laptop to the SMARTplayer / SMARTstreamer using a network cable.
  3. Restart the SMARTplayer / SMARTstreamer by briefly disconnecting and reconnecting the power supply.
  4. Within the first 7 seconds of the boot process, point the remote control at the device and press in sequence: OFF > VOL+ > OFF. The SMARTplayer / SMARTstreamer is now accessible at the following IP address:
    • IP address: 192.168.0.150
    • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
  5. Open your web browser and enter either http://smartplayer.local or the IP address 192.168.0.150 to access the SMART WebApp.
